Verre Low Rocks Glass

This glass was made for fun. While blowing the glass, the glassblower pushes the cane up into the glass to create the pointed raised base inside the glass. This is a technically difficult procedure that is mastered after years of experience. The beveled design was inspired by the Venetian Baroque style. The way we create the twisted ridged pattern on the glass is by pouring a hot ball of molten glass into a mold with spikes. As it begins to cool, we twist it out to make the final design. Have fun with this glass… it sounds good when you swirl your ice cube around it! Mouth-blown from transparent recycled glass in France by master glassblowers.
